First and foremost, we mourn and honor the memory of the 41st President of the United States, George H.W. Bush. Former President Bush served the country in numerous capacities during a long career, including serving in World War II as a fighter pilot.
For our members: The following is the general practice for Days of Mourning, but which may be modified by National Memorandums. If you have Wednesday as a regularly scheduled day, you will be off and paid administrative leave for 8 hours. If you are nonscheduled for the day, you will receive 8 hours of administrative leave, to be used at your choice within the next six months. If you are a PTF, and are not scheduled to work, you will be paid administrative leave equal to the average number of hours worked the previous service week. If you are a PTF and are scheduled to work, you will be paid your work hours, plus administrative leave up to 8 hours at a future date.
If you are a regular and scheduled to work, you will be paid the appropriate rate of pay for the day, plus the administrative leave for 8 hours at a future date. If you are nonscheduled, but work the day off, you will be paid for the ovetime, plus be paid 8 hours administrative leave at a future date.
PSEs and other none career employees are not eligible for administrative leave, and if scheduled to work, will be paid as any other day.
